Bone Marrow Drive for NYPD

Bronx-born Steven Bonano, 50, raced to the scene of the terrorist attacks and worked there for weeks. “Chief Steve Bonano served this city with the NYPD for many years,” said his employer's executive chairman. “Now it’s our turn to serve him.”
Capt. Steven Bonano
Did you know only 7% of African-Americans and Latinos can be cured because so few folks register to donate bone marrow? Do you know how many African-American, Latino, and minority victims are dying?

Did you know cancer among 9/11 responders is 15% higher than among people not exposed to the Ground Zero toxins? The increase was seen primarily in three types of the disease, including blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma. More than 900 first responders have died of ailments blamed on their service at Ground Zero.

Step up! Save a life! It's quick, easy, and painless!

Sgt. Wanda Davis
When: Sunday, June 2 @ 11 AM - 6:00 PM
Where: Hamilton Metz Field (Albany/Lefferts Park, 510 Albany Ave.) during the Soccer for Harmony 5 Tournament

Register to save retired NYPD Sgt. Wanda Davis and Capt. Bonano!

Retired NYPD cop and 9/11 first responders Steven Bonano and Wanda Davis are battling a rare form of blood cancer believed to be tied to their time working at Ground Zero.
